Repeat prescriptions online

You can now order your repeat prescriptions online and save yourself a trip to the surgery. To use the service, you will first need to contact us at reception to obtain a username and password. Once you have these, click on the link above to log in to this website and place your order.

A new way to get your medications and appliances

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service. If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP Practice to pick up your paper prescription. Instead your GP will send it electronically to the pharmacy you choose saving you time.

You need to sign up for this service at a local pharmacy of your choice. Your pharmacy will provide full instructions on how to get started.

Discontinued Medications

In accordance with NHS guidelines we no longer instigate prescribing of the following drugs: Diconal, Dihydrocodeine, Gamolenic Acid, Glucosamine, Tramadol Modified Release. Any patient taking these drugs will be asked to see a GP for a review.

Help us to reduce the cost of prescriptions

In the year prior to June 2017, the NHS spent approximately £569 million on prescriptions for medicines for minor conditions, which could otherwise be purchased over the counter (OTC) from a pharmacy and/or other outlets such as petrol stations or supermarkets MORE>>

Prescription orders by telephone

Please make requests after 10.00 am, Monday to Fridays. Tel: Amble Health Centre on 01665 710 481 or Broomhill Health Centre on 01670 760 229

Please have the names of the medication required with you when requesting repeat prescriptions and try to order a number of items each month rather than one each week. This avoids errors and saves time. TO AVOID WASTING MEDICINES, PLEASE ONLY ORDER THE ONES YOU NEED.

Prescription orders by hand

You can also order your repeat prescription by dropping your request slip into the surgery.

Please use your computer slips whenever possible and put a tick beside each item required.

Please allow up to two working days for your prescription to be prepared and try to order a number of items each month rather than one each week.

Please indicate if you require the prescription collection service, whereby your repeat prescription items can be collected from one of the local pharmacies in Broomhill or Amble, otherwise your prescription will be left for Health Centre collection.
